How Did Chris Henry Die,Chris Henry Dies:Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco emotionally recalled the late Chris Henry in the Bengals locker room on Thursday.

The often outspoken Ochocinco choked back tears as he recounted how proud he was that Henry had turned around his life before dying from injuries sustained in an auto accident on Wednesday.

Chris Henry was a very good, very good friend of mine,” Ochocinco told reporters. “We were extremely close. It’s sad to see that it’s come to this point.

Ochocinco said he spoke with Chris Henry on Tuesday night, less than a day before the accident. He was visibly shaken by Henry’s loss,He was doing everything right. He’s been doing eveything right.

Bengals Henry FootballMy grandma always says you never really question the man upstairs on decisions he makes because he never makes mistakes, but … (holding back tears) I don’t see how Chris Henr was supposed to go already. Especially when you’re on the right path.

Jeff Fisher Peyton Manning Jersey

October 21, 2009

Jeff Fisher Peyton Manning Jersey: they suffer a historic beatdown at the hands of the Patriots on Sunday. Then on Tuesday, Jeff Fisher – the only head coach Tennessee has ever known — dons a Peyton Manning jersey and essentially calls himself a loser.

Ouch.

The seemingly traitorous move was made at a charity event for Tony Dungy, though the intended good will still isn’t sitting well with Titans fans who are still trying to wipe away the embarrassment from Sunday.

58558429As if seeing the Titans’ head coach wear the jersey of the man who time after time beat Tennessee (10-5 career record) wasn’t enough, Fisher explained the move by saying, “I just wanted to feel like a winner.”

Fisher was obviously doing so in good nature, but he took time to apologize Wednesday morning.

It was for a very, very worthwhile cause, charity,” Fisher said in a radio interview. “I was introducing Tony, just having fun with it and I really apologize if I offended anybody, but if you’re offended over the nature of that type of thing, then I think you need to rethink things.

This is a very worthwhile and needy benefit and I was honored to be there. And I’m sorry if I offended anybody but if I had to do it again, I would do it again.

She had told her family that she and McNair were planning to move in together, and that he had already separated from his wife.

“Steve Mcnair Dead Found Shot To Death”

July 5, 2009

NASHVILLE (Reuters) – Former star NFL quarterback Steve McNair was found shot to death in a Nashville condominium on Saturday, police said. A woman’s body was also found at the scene.

McNair, who was 36, suffered several gunshot wounds, the Nashville Tennessean newspaper reported, citing police. A 20-year-old woman was found alongside him with a single gunshot wound to her head and a pistol near her body, it reported.

The newspaper described the deaths as an apparent murder-suicide.

Police were called to the scene in the early afternoon.

“The circumstances surrounding the shooting deaths remain under active investigation,” Nashville told Reuters in a statement. Police department spokesman Don Aaron said no suspects had been taken into custody.

McNair, a hometown hero who did extensive charity work in Nashville, played 13 seasons on the NFL, mostly with the Tennessee Titans and its predecessor team, the Houston Oilers.

Drafted by the Oilers in 1995 out of Alcorn State College in Mississippi, McNair led the Titans to their only Super Bowl appearance — after the 1999 season, losing to the St. Louis Rams. He was the NFL’s co-MVP in 2003, and was selected for the Pro Bowl three times.

Ravens McNair Retires FootballMcNair ended his career with the Baltimore Ravens and retired after the 2007 season.

“We are saddened and shocked to hear the news of Steve McNair’s passing today,” Titans owner K. S. “Bud” Adams said in a statement on the team’s website.

“He played with unquestioned heart and leadership and led us to places that we had never reached, including our only Super Bowl.”

Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason, a former teammate, said: “Steve was such a happy person. I even called him ‘Smile’. He was always smiling and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. I’ve known him for 13 years, and he was the most selfless, happiest and friendliest person I have known.”

McNair last month opened a restaurant in Nashville — Gridiron9.

As word of McNair’s death spread around the city, fans gathered at LP Field, the Titans’ stadium, to leave cards, flowers and signs.

“20-Year Old Sahel Kazemi Killed”

July 5, 2009

Nashville Police idenitifed the second victim in the shooting of former Titans Quarterback Steve McNair as 20-year old Sahel Kazemi.

Police found the pistol near Kazemi’s body on the floor of a condiminium rented by McNair. McNair was seated on the couch. They are not ruling out a murder/suicide in the case. There were no signs of forced entry on the condominium.

“The medical examiner will be conducting autopsies tomorrow (Sunday),” Metro Police Spokesman Don Aaron said. “We expect to make additional conclusions after the autopsy process.”

Aaron said McNair suffered multiple gunshot wounds, including a wound to the head. Kazemi died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Police stopped a car driven by Kazemi two days ago on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Police charged her with driving under the influence and refusing to take a breath test. McNair was a passenger in the car, which he co-owned with Kazemi according to public records.

Rumors surfaced during the day that the second victim was McNair’s wife, Mechelle. Police said by late afternoon that was not the case. Aaron said Saturday night police “did not believe she was involved” and said Mechelle had been visited by police chaplins.

As for the relationship between McNair and Kazemi, police would say little, describing the two as “friends.” The Tennessean reports the two had been dating for several weeks.
