Katie Morgan Arrested,Katie Morgan Poster:A call to the Oak Street Bridge in Roseburg Tuesday night led to the arrest of a Roseburg man who is now being held on nearly $1-million bail.
Roseburg police say they contacted three men on the bridge, and found one had a warrant out for his arrest.
Police say they attempted to arrest Donny Lynn Morgan, 20, but the man fought with officers and managed to break free.
Morgan ran across the bridge but was taken into custody at the other side.
During the incident, Morgan had thrown his coat into the river while he was running from the officers. An officer had to enter into the river and recover the coat, which allegedly had marijuana inside.
Morgan was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges of Escape II, Tampering with Evidence, Resisting Arrest, Interfering with Police, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Morgan is being held on $985,000 bail.
