kills one Policeman, Wounds 3 In Peshawar:Peshawar: One policeman was killed and three others injured when a remote control bomb took place near a police van on the Ring Road, Peshawar.
According to police, a police van from Pushtkhara police was a routine patrol when a roadside blast occurred in the Bala Achi, killing four policemen were wounded.
The wounded were taken to the Hayatabad Medical Complex, where a policeman died injuries.
The police van damaged in the explosion.
“3 kilograms of explosives was used in the blast,” said SSP Cantt Shafi Ullah Khan.
Police launched a search operation in the area.
The injured were transferred to the Lady Reading hospital. This is the second attack on a police van in the past three days.
Peshawar had seen violence in the recent past. By 28 August, the standoff between militants and security forces near the U.S. consulate in the city paralyzed by fear. Four terrorists who were taken to another site was overpowered their guards and held them hostage after snatched weapons.
Day hostage drama ended when the rebels surrendered to military authorities.

The rapper known IT could well end up in jail. He and his wife married Tiny when arrested last night in West Hollywood. According to various sources, the couple was traveling when arrested by the Deputies in a Maybach for multiple traffic violations. The officers smelled marijuana in the car, research and finally found something worse, methamphetamine and ecstasy!
They were both booked for possession of a controlled substance.
Tiny has been taken to a separate police car, but two were transported to a local sheriff’s station.
They were released on bail of $ 10,000.

3 Bomb Blasts in Lahore 2 suicide and 1 Blast:Lahore is again under Blood shower. It is reported that 3 Massive Bomb Blasts on YOM-E-ALI (Ali Day) in Lahore, Pakistan. these blasts were occured on 2 different areas of Lahore (Gam-e-Shah and Bhatti chowk). over 12 People are reported to be dead till now and more than 150 wounded wounded people are sent to the different hospitals. Emergency has been held in All major Hospitals in Lahore i.e. Ganga Ram, Meo Hospital etc.
People are so much depressed and emotional that they even attacked on police by throwing stones and destroyed their mobile cars and stopped the traffic. These is so much Hustle bustle in that specific areas of Lahore and people are so much frightened and insecure that they are avoiding coming out from their homes.
The first blast that occurred in the middle of the procession at Karbala Gaame Shah was followed within minutes by two high intensity suicide blasts at Bhaati Chowk, police sources confirmed.
Rescue teams are facing difficulties to serve the victims.

Hurricane Earl Path:Hurricane Earl blasted the northern Leeward Islands early Monday as it continued to churn through the northern Caribbean, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Hurricane conditions from the Category 3 hurricane were expected later Monday in the U.S. Virgin Islands and are possible in Puerto Rico later Monday evening.
Florida is not in the forecast path.
Earl’s path was expected to take it through the northern Caribbean islands before turning northwest Tuesday.
A swath of the U.S. East Coast from the mid Atlantic states to the northeast could feel Earl’s impact, said Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez.
Earl had sustained winds near 120 mph and was moving west-northwest near 15 mph. Forecasters said it would become a major hurricane — Category 3 or higher — by early Tuesday.
Earl could bring large, battering waves and a storm surge of up to 4 feet above normal in areas within the hurricane warning.
Total rainfall over the Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico was expected to range from 4 to 8 inches, creating a risk of dangerous flash flooding and mud slides.
Hurricane warnings were in effect for the U.S. and British Virgin Islands and parts of the Leeward Islands. Hurricane watches were in place for Puerto Rico, Culebra and Vieques.

Taliban Kill Eight Policemen In Afghan North

KUNDUZ: Taliban militants killed eight Afghan police officers on Thursday in northern Kunduz, an official said, stepping up strikes in what was once a relatively secure part of Afghanistan.
The attack happened just before dawn when the police were asleep, Kunduz Governor Mohammad Omar told reporters. One policeman was wounded and one managed to escape, he said, lowering his earlier death toll of nine.
Residents said there were some casualties among civilians, but details were not immediately available.
The Taliban, largely active in their traditional bastion of support in the south and east, have increased attacks in recent months in some areas of the north despite the presence of some 150,000 foreign forces in the country.
Kunduz has been the focus of attacks in the north and insurgents are increasingly using it as a base to launch attacks elsewhere in the region.
Early this month, a Taliban suicide bomber killed seven policemen in Kunduz. As a sign of their growing strength in the province, the Taliban publicly stoned to death a young woman and a man accused of an illicit affair.
US President Barack Obama has described Afghanistan as his top foreign policy priority and wants to reduce the number of its soldiers in the country by mid 2011.
In the face of rising Taliban attacks, the top US Marine, General James Conway, this week said Obama’s timeline to begin withdrawing troops had given a morale boost to the insurgents who believe they can wait out foreign forces.
With public opinion of the conflict souring as casualties rise, Conway’s unusually blunt assessment will likely fan criticism of Obama’s war strategy ahead of US congressional elections in November and a strategy review a month later.
China Plane Crash kills 42

At least 42 people died after the plane Henan Airlines with 91 passengers on board overshot the runway and caught fire in northeast China, state media reported.
The accident occurred at the airport Linda in Yichun in Heilongjiang Province at 10:10 pm local time, the official Xinhua news agency reported. The plane took off from the capital of Heilongjiang Province Harbin shortly before 9 pm local time.
Wang Xuemei, vice-mayor of Yichun, told state broadcaster CCTV, that 49 people, including three children, were seriously injured were taken to hospital. Henan Airlines flies smaller regional jets mainly in the north and north-east China.

R.I.P.: Satoshi Kon (1963-2010):Rumors began to circulate around Twitter today that anime star Satoshi Kon, director of such films is really brilliant, like Millennium Actress and peppers, has died at the age of 47 years. One of the first reports came in from Yasuhiro Takeda, one of the founders of Gainax, animation studio best known for the production of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Now both of Ani-Gamers and Anime Reel reports that higher chirp, most likely, the truth and on confirmation will have to wait until the day he was in Japan, Anime Reel wrote that other sources have confirmed the claim, Yasuhiro, including Masao Maruyama, president of Madhouse Studios (Note: not Maruyama said Cohn died in an explicit form, only that a major film director, died). According to the source of Anime-Gamers’, Cohn died of cancer.
There’s still a chance that this might just be an unpleasant and rather inexplicable rumors, but he looks less and less likely. We will inform you if the situation changes and as more news becomes available.

pre crime:a professor of criminology at the University of Pennsylvania, has developed an algorithm and software that he claims can accurately predict which criminal offenders on parole or probation are more likely to commit a serious crime, including murder.
In the past, it was primarily a parole officer’s judgment, along with a criminal’s past record, used to influence the decision regarding the level of supervision necessary for each person. Admittedly, human judgment is often less than perfect, however, equally, individual intuition or ‘gut feel’ about another human being can in many cases, not be reproduced or replaced by computer software technology.
What can certainly help in predicting criminal behavior, is technology that can augment the personal or subjective side of evaluation, using the raw processing speed and accuracy of computer software. Berk’s software technology incorporates a database containing more than 60,000 crimes, including homicides. The software program also includes approximately two dozen variables, utilizing not only empirical data such as age and criminal record, but also geographic location, type of crime, and the relative age of each person when they committed the crime.
It’s very important to distinguish, that this new technology does not predict actual crimes, but rather, only the tendency or likelihood of which criminals might commit crimes again. Consequently, this ability will directly translate into the level of supervision each person on parole or probation gets assigned by the courts.
New software enhances police profiling efforts
Criminal profiling is nothing new in law enforcement, however, using technology as a foundation to assist in the evaluation of people and probability estimates, is much newer and has proven to be more accurate in predicting behavior patterns of criminals. As with the use of any technology, there is always the acknowledgement that output is less than 100% perfect. Regarding Berk’s software technology and use, the increased accuracy and additional information directly translates into an increased knowledge base, which in turn, results in enhanced decision-making.
As a result of the high level of success this technology has yielded to-date, statistical crime prevention efforts are likewise scheduled to be used across the nation, specifically in Washington, DC, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago.
