Ghana Vs Egypt Live

Ghana Vs Egypt Live:African Cup of Nations 2010 (Updated) Watch Ghana vs Egypt Live Stream Online Video (Finals) – This is it! This is the game you have waited for. The Championship game is yet to start in a couple of minutes from now as the live actions are going on in one of the most popular tournaments in the world. This is a much anticipated and final game scheduled, January 30, 2010, Ghana will be facing Egypt at the Finals of theAfrican Cup of Nations 2010.

For Ghana not to have any injury worries would seem almost abnormal at this year’s competition. The Black Stars are sweating heavily over the fitness of goalkeeper Richard Kingson, who has a groin problem.

Ghana’s defence will be sorely tested when they meet Egypt, who have scored fourteen goals in five games en route to the final. The Pharaohs have managed to do this despite missing the likes of Aboutreika, Mido and Zaki and the way they routed Algeria in the semifinals would certainly have given Rajevac something to think about ahead of the final.

Ahmed Hassan believes that Egypt have proven they are the best team on the continent over the course of the African Nations Cup, but he is keen to apply the final touches with victory over Ghana in Sunday’s final in Luanda.

Mohamed Nagy Geddo has really impressed since making his debut for Egypt in January this year against Mali. Despite not starting, he always seems to be able to get a goal to his name.

They will now be heavy favourites against an inexperienced Ghanaian team missing more than five of their regular players, most notably Michael Essien.

The game will be played at 3:00 p.m. Central time and will air on the NFL Network live from Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

It will be the final time for these hopeful future NFL stars to showcase their talents on the field and in real game-time conditions. Chances are that a lot of those boys won’t be on NFL rosters next year, but they need to make sure they take every single opportunity to impress the scouts.

Gilyard’s one of the draft’s great stories, a player who’s gone from high school marijuana troubles to flunking out at Cincinnati to becoming one of the league’s best leaders. He’s been wildly productive on the field too (2,467 yards and 22 touchdowns in the last two years) and he’s a proven dynamo as a return man, which is always an added value come draft time.

Gilyard has undeniably quick hands and feet, and in a phone conversation before practice started this week NFL Network draft expert Mike Mayock said, “He sure is fun to watch on tape.

The Senior Bowl is the nation’s most unique football game and football’s premier pre-draft event, annually featuring the country’s best senior collegiate football stars and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South which are coached by the entire coaching staffs from two National Football League teams.

Jordan Hicks Announcement

January 30, 2010

Jordan Hicks Announcement:Linebacker Jordan Hicks announced on Friday afternoon that he would play the college football at Texas in the fall. He has chosen Texas from his choices of Ohio State, Florida and Texas. His announcement update is also interesting because with this announcement he has made major ramifications in the defense and potential change in the team of Texas. He made this announcement at Lakota West High School outside Cincinnati in a press conference.

Jordan Hicks is rated as the No. 1 football recruit in the state of Ohio. Rivals.com and Scout.com rated him as the nation’s best player and among the top 20 players. But according to ESPNU top 150 rankings he is the number 4 recruit as a linebacker. He is the No. 4 pick nationally. He has also won the Dick Butkus Award as the top high school linebacker. His announcement to join the Texas team is the Mack Brown’s biggest victory and this is the first time he attracted a player out of Ohio. He upset the Ohio state early in the Longhorns’ 2005 national championship run. Hicks also received a commitment on Friday afternoon from Longhorns. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Hicks, chose Texas over Ohio State and Florida. During his senior season he recorded 3 sacks, 2 interceptions and 80 tackles. Despites all this it will be hard for Jordan Hicks to beat Jim Tressel and Ohio State.

The announcement to join the Texas team is not a sealed deal by the Hicks as he has just verbally committed Texas. Anyhow his announcement news to join Texas is definitely great news for the Texas fans.

U.S.Missiles Attack 9 Taliban Kill In Pakistan

January 30, 2010

U.S.Missiles Attack 9 Taliban Kill In Pakistan:Suspected U.S. missiles hit a compound and a bunker in Pakistan’s volatile tribal region, killing nine militants as part of an unprecedented wave of strikes since a deadly attack against the CIA across the border in Afghanistan, intelligence officials said.

Three missiles targeted Taliban militants early Saturday in the Mohammad Khel area of North Waziristan, where militant groups blamed for launching attacks on American and NATO troops across the border are based, the officials said. The mountainous area is where a suspected U.S. drone is reported to have crashed on Jan. 24, they added.

Another such strike early this month targeted a meeting of militant commanders in an apparently unsuccessful attempt to kill Pakistani Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud.

Mehsud appeared in a video sitting beside the Jordanian man who carried out the Dec. 30 suicide bombing of a remote CIA base in Afghanistan’s Khost province that killed seven of the agency’s employees. A Pakistani Taliban spokesman also claimed responsibility for the attack to avenge the killing of their former chief, Baitullah Mehsud, in a drone strike last year.

Analysts suspect the Haqqani network, an al-Qaida-linked Afghan Taliban faction based in North Waziristan, also helped carry out the CIA attack, the worst against the spy agency in decades.

Since the bombing, the U.S. has carried out 13 suspected drone strikes in North and South Waziristan, an unprecedented volley of attacks since the CIA-led missile program began in earnest in Pakistan two years ago.

Two missiles in Saturday’s attack hit the compound being used by the militants, killing seven of them, the intelligence officials said. The third killed two more insurgents in the bunker, they said.

The three officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information to the media.

The U.S. does not usually comment on the strikes or their targets, but officials have said in the past that they have taken out several senior al-Qaida and Taliban leaders. The Pakistani government publicly condemns the strikes as violations of its sovereignty, yet it is thought to have a secret deal with Washington allowing them.

Millrose Games:St. Joseph by-The-Sea Causes A Stir

January 30, 2010

Millrose Games:St. Joseph by-The-Sea Causes A Stir:It didn’t turn out as planned, but for a while, the St. Joseph by-the-Sea boys had a Madison Square Garden crowd of 11,510 roaring at the 103rd annual Millrose Games on Friday night.

For a few fleeting moments, the Vikings were in first place in the CHSAA 4×800-meter relay, before finishing in a still respectable fifth place in a time of 8 minutes, 20.10 seconds.

“This is the best we’ve run at the Garden in the last three years,” beamed Sea coach Chris Mancusi. “I’m real proud of them.”

Minutes after Sea’s Dan Zaccariello had finished sixth in the invitational high school mile run (4:21.24), his four teammates took to the track — not only without their best leg in Zaccariello, but without senior Mike Baio, who was injured at last week’s CHSAA Sectional championship meet.

The burden fell on the others to try to do well, and Mancusi devised a strategy to get out and try to hold on for as long as possible. That meant each leg had to run hard, and kick at the end.

Things didn’t look good through the opening quarter mile of the leadoff leg, as Alex Civitano ran 20 meters behind the pack.

But the strategy soon became obvious, as Civitano unleashed a ferocious kick over the final two laps to put Sea in second place.

The race plan was duplicated on the next two legs. Nick Italiano kicked into first with a 1:59.4 carry, and Adam Civitano widened the lead with a 2:02.2 leg.

That left the burden on the sixth best Sea half-miler, junior Paul Brancale, to run against some of the East’s best.

Brancale gave it a good try, but his 2:12.8 carry left Sea in fifth.

Mancusi could find no fault with his team. “I think we grew up quite a bit today,” he said.

St. John Villa, the defending champions in the girls’ CHSAA 4×400-meter relay, never got into the race and finished fifth. The team of Samantha Lauro (1:05.3), Alexis Bivona (1:03.5), Dana Mannarino (1:03.4), and Mariah Claudio (59.7) ran 4:12.06. St. Anthony’s came from behind to win in 4:01.07.

“We’re real disappointed,” said Bivona.

There were medals in other events.

Terry Ballou anchored her Millrose A.A. team to second place in the Masters 4×400-meter relay, splitting 1:01.6. Millrose ran 4:22.37.

In the youth events, Ariella Garcia and Tamia Jones ran legs on thye Prospect Park Youth Running Club 4-lap relay, which finished third in 1:31.45.

Brandon Freeman anchored his Prospect Park team to third in the boys 4-lap relay, which ran 1:27.33.
