“Melodee Hanes Photo”Tom Brokaw Car Accident:Melodee Hanes and Max Baucus were in a relationship when Max Baucus nominated his girfrlend Melodee Hanes for U.S. attorney. Hanes is girlfriend to max baucus now and reportedly while the Senate Finance Committee Chair nominated her for a U.S. attorney slot.
Wanda and Max Baucus were married for 25 years. In April the couple announced they were separating, issuing a join statement that they had still had “mutual respect” for each other. This was Max’s second marraige.
But mutual respect is not what Washington is having for max baucus today who after his separation with Wanda started dating Melodee Hanes and then nominated her for a U.S. attorney spot.
AP reports they started dating in the summer after Max and Wanda’s separation. A spokesperson for Max said her name was withdraw once they started living together adding “Mel is supremely qualified and she got to her current position based solely on her merit”.
President Obama would eventually nominate Michael Cotter who would get the spot.
