New Mexico Soccer Elizabeth Lambert,Elizabeth Lambert:A female version off Vinny Jones has been suspended for her infractions during a 1-0 loss to Brigham Young in a Mountain West Conference semifinal. It seems the Mexico soccer player has become an Internet celebrity for the wrong reasons.
Liz Lambert threw elbows, collided with several players, and then yanked the ponytail of BYU player Kassidy Shumway, who went crashing to the ground. Lambert has now apologized for her behavior she said “my actions were uncalled for; I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation. This is in no way indicative of my character or the soccer player I am. ”
New Mexico coach Kit Vela said “Liz is a quality student and athlete, but in this instance, her actions clearly crossed the line of fair play and good sportsmanship.” Lambert was the only player to be yellow carded in the game, which came in the 77th minute for colliding with a BYU player who was driving toward the net.
After watching the video on a recent post, the question I would like to know is why the referee has not been suspended, just in the short clip that I saw Lambert should off received 4 yellow cards, and two straight red cards. Why not take a look at the clip and let us know your thoughts. She may have a future in UFC.
